At Barinthus Biotherapeutics, we are committed to nurturing the next generation of scientific talent. Our early career programs are tailored for individuals with a scientific background who are eager to apply their knowledge to real-world challenges and contribute to pioneering projects.

Apprenticeships in the UK

• Apprenticeships are a fantastic way to either start your career or progress it by enhancing your skills and experience if you are already at work. There are a number of benefits that make an apprenticeship a great choice.
• In partnership with the Advanced Therapies Apprenticeship Community (ATAC), we focus on upskilling, reskilling, and training individuals to develop, manufacture, and deliver advanced therapies, vaccines, and biologics at scale. Our apprentices have the opportunity to learn within our clinical or science teams. Notably, in 2024, one of our apprentices was honoured with the National Apprentice of the Year award.

Work Experience in the UK

• Each summer, our UK office provides work experience placements for students from local secondary schools and colleges. Participants gain practical experience in areas such as clinical research or quality assurance, fostering a passion for science and offering insights into a career in biotechnology.

Internships in the USA

• Our Germantown facility offers a range of internships for both graduates and undergraduates. Many of our interns have successfully transitioned into full-time permanent positions, continuing their growth as scientists and contributing to the development of our next-generation products.

Communication: all emails from Barinthus Biotherapeutics will use the email address recruitment@barinthusbio.com or name@barinthusbio.com. We will never email you from any third party service such as Outlook, Gmail or Yahoo.

Recruitment agencies: Barinthus Biotherapeutics typically try to fill all roles ourselves for a period of 2 to 4 weeks before we engage third party recruitment agencies. If a new position has only recently been advertised on our careers site or on LinkedIn it is unlikely we will be working with recruitment agencies at that time. Recruitment agencies are used by us occasionally, but only when we have been unable to fill the role ourselves.

We do not charge fees: At Barinthus Biotherapeutics we do not charge candidates fees at any stage in the recruitment process. If you are being asked for money this is a scam.

Personal details: We will never ask for your bank details or ID before you are offered a job.

Our interview process: Candidates will typically go through several stages of interview before they are offered a job with us, often being invited to our site to meet the team in person. We will never offer you a job without first interviewing you.
